Speaker 1:

All right. Well, how about this for an idea? How about no wars, no wars at all? Come on, I'm channeling Donald Trump, that's what he said. But we have things going on right now In the Middle East. Let's talk about it. About George with Gene Ho coming up. Music, all righty, welcome to. About George with Gene Ho, and happy Tuesday for you. I can already see it. This week is floating by so fast, but it's going to be great. And I just want to remind oh, my goodness, I'm constantly reminding, look at that Reminding you that President's Day, february 19th, that's a Monday this show moves to the platform of georgemagazinecom. So if you're not already watching the platform there, go to georgemagazinecom. That is where you'll be able to see this show at the same time every day. You can see the back episodes as well, but that's the day for it, and please continue to support the fine people that I know at patriottv. They are doing their own things and we hope that we can become a sponsor of theirs. But in the meantime, this show does move on to georgemagazinecom, the platform there. All right, that being said, we have with us CEO of George Magazine, dave. All right. First of all, it is getting warm out here where I am. Good. How's the weather?

Speaker 3:

where you're at, wherever in your undisclosed location oh chilly chilly Okay, but at least when that underwater, like they are in Southern California right now.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I saw that. I saw that and you know what the thing about that it was. Remember when they had any time to have rain in that part? I mean, I think there's like mud like all, like mudslides and everything there. Yeah, so we hope that they are doing good down there. Okay, dave, a lot of things going on and there's a lot of things going on at George Magazine as well the poll. Well before that, greg, I don't know if you could pull it up. We could put some cards in.

Speaker 3:

Just let me say something real quick. I think that you know, our friend, whose name begins with a J, really appreciates the fact that we look so extra handsome today. I just wanted to say that the both of us are looking extra handsome and I'm sure it's a pretty good, come on.

Speaker 1:

Hey, I went on TikTok live last night, had my hair kicking my reading glasses. That's the thing. I bought these special reading glasses because I can't who knew? Once you get a certain age, you can't read closeup anymore. Anyway, I bought these fancy new reading glasses that I need to read the comments. All right, let's talk about Dave. Let's talk a little bit about this. You got cartoons there now. We've always had cartoons, political cartoons, right. So yeah, there we go.

Speaker 3:

We have the greatest political cartoonist ever. I know, I know I'm all time On the team with George Tom Stiglitch and we have him displayed on the homepage. We have a separate page specifically for his past work, and the one that's coming up in George issue 17, that'll be released on February 23rd, is especially, especially poignant and pinpoints what is going on right now in the news and on social media. And we'll tell you what it is, but it is-.

Speaker 1:

You have to collect it, because how are you not gonna collect it if it's issue 17? Seriously, yeah, I know, I don't know what that means. I'm just inventing out of thin air a number out there. But how are you not supposed to collect it?

Speaker 3:

All right, so anyway, it's all well being extra awesomely handsome.

Speaker 1:

All right, now let's talk about this poll and then after that I wanna talk really quick. Before we get on a topic, I wanna talk Trump in that report. All right, check out this George magazine poll you wanna. There's a lot of text there.

Speaker 3:

Dave, just wanna kinda give us an overview, real simple Overview yeah, should there be limits on the freedom of the press to report on certain sensitive national security issues in this coming year, 2024, when we know that there's going to be monumental disclosures? So no is the first choice and yes is the second, with some contingencies. And our readers are very smart. Look what they're doing.

Speaker 1:

I know they're going for the nose or in the lead. This is going to be interesting. What it is, it's real. I'm telling you that that's a great poll and at first I'll be honest, dave I was like what in the world is this poll? And then I look at it. I was like, ah, okay, lots of interesting nuances. How about say that? All right, dave, before we get into our topic here. So breaking news, man, I'm telling you what's going on here with Trump in the appeals court. Now. Basically, he was Trump was supposed to have a trial. By the way, it was supposed to be I think it's March 4th, which would be really, really, come on, man. That was right before Super Tuesday and that got pushed out of the way, but the appeals court already ruled that he can go on trial. Is that correct from what you read? Okay, yes so the appeals court ruled.

Speaker 3:

Go ahead.

Speaker 1:

No, okay, first of all, dave, what? What jurisdiction is this like? Is this New York, or what?

Speaker 3:

jurisdiction. Well, actually it's the Supreme Court out of Washington DC, which is governed by Chief Justice John Roberts, and in the unanimous decision came down that a president, that an ex-president or former president can be prosecuted for crimes, for crimes while in office. And you have to understand both sides of that. Now look, also understand that we've gone 45 presidents without ever this question coming up right Washington, jefferson, madison, jackson, lincoln, grover Cleveland, theodore Roosevelt, woodrow Wilson, the whole lot of them. Question never came. Nixon never came up, and now it's been. Now it's coming up.

Speaker 1:

Really really quick. I don't know if it's correction or a clarification. This is not the Supreme Court. Like the Supreme Court in the United States is the highest court in the DC. Right, right right now.

Speaker 3:

Is that the?

Speaker 1:

corporation or the yeah.

Speaker 3:

Now it will be picked up by the Supreme Court.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

And for them to give their ruling Now. Once they rule on it, then the trial will either proceed or not proceed. The tricky thing here is the tricky thing here is that the appeals court did rule unanimously without any dissenters. So let's see how that fares in the Supreme Court.

Speaker 1:

All right, I'm not I can't be the only one out there thinking this, but this all boils down to what's good for the goose is good for the gander, or whatever I mean. Doesn't this just open the door wide open for some of these other presidents, including Biden? Right?

Speaker 3:

That's correct, because here's the thing under the Constitution there is no verbiage as to whether a president could be prosecuted for crimes. Well, you know that had done well in office Right Now, right, what Trump's team was is proposing is that the only way the president can be tried is through Congress, so that, like through impeachment and conviction in the Senate. And the judges on the Appellate's Court did bring up instances well, and said well, ok, let's say the president orders seal team six to go and murder the president's political rivals. Meanwhile the president has his cronies in the Senate that are not going to convict them. The president can get away with murder.

Speaker 1:

Right, right. Well, that's, that's, that's so called the argument there.

Speaker 3:

Correct that, well, yeah but right, but that could be a scenario. That's why, that's why complete, utter you, you know not being able to prosecute for any crimes. You know you, just you can't do that.

Speaker 1:

Well, ultimately speaking, this is. This is just tipping up straight to the Supreme Court, I would imagine Right With OK.

Speaker 3:

All right.

Speaker 1:

So, all right, I guess I hear a lot of silence here with this, because I'm trying to, I'm trying to figure this out in real time. Ok, all right. So here's the thing.

Speaker 3:

All right. So here's the thing that they want to link Trump to what happened on January 6th correct, and everybody out there has to understand that there were two separate sets of incidents that went on on January 6th. One showed grandmothers walking through the Capitol carrying a flag, basically doing nothing All right, and that's what. And that footage was peddled to everyone on the right. And then, on the other side of the Capitol building, there was absolute mayhem and violence, with armed people were coming on, militia breaking windows, breaking in, extremely violent, and that footage has been peddled to those on the left. So this is another situation where people are being divided. Now, with that said, on January 6th, yes, president Trump ultimately did put out a video that said that everybody go home, let's be peaceful about this, and so on. What the other side is bringing up in this immunity defense prosecution is that four weeks prior to that, president Trump was encouraging people to come to the Capitol and take their country back.

Speaker 1:

Right, yeah, you know, I get it.

Speaker 3:

That's the. That's the two sides. You got to look at both sides.

Speaker 1:

No, and you know that. Here's the thing, people there. Well, we're actually going to skip this first section. We'll go right into commercial. But just let me finish up. We only got a minute here. A lot of this stuff is based upon Trump saying, hey, it's going to be wild and it's just like I don't see. Now, if it's a court in DC, that's biased, that would be one thing, but I don't see how the average American could say that he was going to go there with pitchforks and that's what he wanted. He was giving a speech there and he was the president of the United States. All right, you got 30 seconds and we got to hit a commercial break here.

Speaker 3:

The average American Trump supporter was not violent. Who was violent are others who were engineered to be there, not to forget Antifa and all this other nonsense. That's nonsense. But there were armed militia that was there to do damage and that's been pedaled for months to the left, all right everyone.

Speaker 1:

it's all right, this is interesting. Stick around. We're going to get to our topic when we get back about George, with Gene Hale coming back.

Speaker 1:

And welcome back everyone to About George with Gene Ho, and thanks for joining me once again. Let's just get right back into our show. Here we have with us Dave Blaise, ceo of George Magazine, and there's a lot going on here. I tell you what this new cycle has been bunkers lately, and it's interesting because we're talking about this, but this one fell off the radar from just a couple days ago. Anyway, get your comment on this, greg roll it.

Speaker 5:

We should also note the timing. These strikes were launched less than two hours after President Biden welcomed home the remains of three American soldiers at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. In a statement released just last hour, the president said the United States does not seek conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world, but let all those who might seek to do us harm know this If you harm an American, we will respond. We start.

Speaker 1:

OK, here we go. Let's just get right into it, dave. First of all, before I even begin, the condolences to the service members that were killed. Obviously, I'm not trying to politicize this as a very sad situation. At the same time, let's talk about this. What do you think, Dave, is in net effect, so to speak, on the election coming up? I mean, I'll be honest, I support Trump, but like Biden looks pretty strong there, no, what do you think is going to happen, dave?

Speaker 3:

Well, let's just consider that when President Trump was in office, he basically had Iran teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. He sanctioned their oil production, put other sanctions on them, knowing that Iran was the culprit or the hate, to use the word mastermind behind all the problems that are going on in the Middle East. When President Biden took office, he reversed all of those executive orders that Trump had signed in relation to this and others. And now what we see? The results. You know on the news. They will tell you all day long about the $6 billion deal or whatever it is. That's peanuts. Iran is making hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars on their oil sales because all of the sanctions are off. They're selling oil handover fists to Russia, to China, to Pakistan, india and so on With that money. Look what's happened. They funded Russia because Russia doesn't have. Russia has a small economy. Russia has basically the same size economy as our state of Georgia, so they're funding Russia. Russia is able to now move into Ukraine. That's why they're doing it, because they didn't have the money before. Now they have the money. So then Iran funds all the stupid little proxies Hezbollah, hamas, the UTs and so forth down in Yemen and they're attacking Israel. So it's all. All of this mishmash that's going on in the Middle East is a result of Iran. Now why President Biden does not want to strike Iran directly is because Iran, russia and China have an alliance, like an evil Axis power alliance. So if we strike Iran, we will become in direct conflict with Russia and China.

Speaker 1:

Okay, but at the same time, we're talking here. We're talking about, which is wonderful, we're talking about Iraq and Syria, and we're talking and response whether it's true or not, which I have to only assume in response to the service members getting killed with the drone strike I believe it was. So isn't this pure justification for, quite frankly, biden's to go in there and say, hey, start to talk tough. And I'm not making an election year thing, but it is an election year. So he starts talking tough, like that, and it's like, hey, don't mess with Americans. And there you go. There's the president showing off in America with all his bombs. Your thoughts, data.

Speaker 3:

Right. So what was happening is proxies that were in Syria and Iraq have been attacking US bases in Iraq. So that's where all this conflict is coming in. And don't believe those in social media and on certain conservative news stations that tell you oh Biden is doing is attacking empty warehouses. That's nonsense. That information, those statements are coming from Iranian television. So what do you think they're going to say? You think they're going to say, oh, biden, the USA attacked us and they're hurting us and doing damage. No, they're going to say, oh, they bombed some empty warehouses. Who cares? That's their game. So if you want to have like a little bit of a premonition or prediction, you know, I could see some country maybe not the United States, maybe directly bombing some of Iran's oil refineries and putting a big dent in their wallet. That could be on the horizon, who knows?

Speaker 1:

Okay, all right, just to clarify, because this foreign stuff is very new. Are we talking about Iraq or Iran, or what's the relationship between the two? If you do know about?

Speaker 3:

Iraq we basically have a good hold on. We have a lot of bases there and everything.

Speaker 1:

So we just a double check. Okay, we just double check. This was the attack was on Iraq and Syria, not Iran. So this is totally different.

Speaker 3:

The attack was on Iranian proxies that have set up in Iraq and Syria, that were attacking our bases in Iraq. All right.

Speaker 1:

No, listen, I mean, I don't know the nuances with this and so it's really interesting. Okay, that all being said, with what's going on and thanks for the clarification, with all that being said, at the end of the day, and let's just, I know I'm trying to be sensitive and not throw politics in this, but it is election year. When some people see that last clip, it makes people think, wow, that president Biden is tough because our service members got killed and he says you touch one of our service members, hey, we're going to come after you big time, and that's that's the tough talk that Trump always said. So doesn't this, by proxy, so to speak, help Biden in his view of what it?

Speaker 3:

is Well it does. Especially if, okay, if Biden can walk a tightrope, get Iran to back down without suckering everybody into a wider conflict, then yeah, that makes them look pretty good.

Speaker 1:

All right. Now on the Trump side of it and I know Maganation would say to this, which this is what I would say you know what bottom line is? When Trump was in office, there was no, there was no wars, there was no bombings and everything Cause he, as you proposed or theorized, is because Trump knew how to use the purse strings with. That's right. Whatever, I don't know what you call that sanctions or whatever to keep everyone in line. So do you think, now that this is happening, net result and I get it because I want to be sensitive net result does this help Biden with all this stuff? Or really do people say you know what? We're tired of these wars. We just had all that stuff going on in Israel and now we have this. What do you think the general populace will view about this attack, dave?

Speaker 3:

Okay, like I said, if Biden can walk this tightrope, get Iran to back way off, at the same time not getting us involved in a wider scale war with Russia, et cetera, then that makes him look pretty smart. So that's all I'm saying Now, can that be done, who knows? And then, of course, he has to have a period of time where he's not stumbling around or falling upstairs and stuff like that. So you know, I don't know if it can be done or not, we'll see.

Speaker 1:

Okay, really quick before we go. We got about two minutes, but I do want to comment on this. So we just had the Republicans, on February 24th, I believe, are gonna have their primary. Of course, donald Trump is expected to win. What's gonna be interesting is how well or not well Nikki Haley does for that. However, South Carolina, on the Democrat side, already voted, and obviously I mean this. Really it was overwhelmingly President Biden there that got the votes. Now, with this, do you see, with and we talked about this before with the money problems that the RNC has and the money that they have pretty good ones for the Democrats do you see a surge with Biden coming up going into the general election in November? Your thoughts, dave?

Speaker 3:

Look, this is all gonna hinge on Trump and the courts. You know and we could say that that all the courts are biased, all the courts are no good. Even Trump appointed judges are no good. Everybody's no good if they're against Trump, you know, you just, it is what it is. So, as this moves forward, if these court cases take up more time, but, more so than that, take up more of the RNC and donor money, okay, that's the thing, because Trump is pretty much using the RNC's donations and the donors to finance his legal team, right? So, okay, this is gonna be a tough the way I off here.

Speaker 1:

Okay, my thing with Donald Trump and we just got a minute is what's going on is I think the American people can see through all the BS. To be honest, I think they can see right through it. They see what they're trying to do to Donald Trump Basically, take away all this money, they do the civil trials, that 83 million with that, and then you have the one coming in New York. I think they're gonna judge on that that soon. I'm not sure the the civil trial there. So he's taking away that money and then stick them in the courts and burn up all his money. That way, I think the American people are starting to see through this. Just 30 seconds. What do you think, dave? You you think actually America has wised up to what's going on your thoughts.

Speaker 3:

Okay, there's two ways to go here. Yes, I think America has wised up to this. They see that, hey, enough, enough beating up this one guy. All right. We've had it for four years while he was in office with the Russia hoax. Now we got these ridiculous trials and stuff like that. It's too much on this one guy. Now, that's one way to go. The other way to go is the American people might just be sick and tired of the circus. We don't want the circus anymore. Let's go back to Normie land and just have our regular government and so forth that we can work with. All right, go either way. All right.

Speaker 1:

Thank you so much, dave Blades, for joining me once again, and everyone else stick around. I'm gonna have my closing thoughts for you in just a moment about George, with Gene Ho coming back. Speaker 1:

And welcome back to About George with Gene Ho, and before I get to my final points for you in just a minute, just want to remind you once again is Monday, president's Day, the 19th of February. That's when this show will move officially to the platform of georgemagazinecom. It will debut at 9 pm, just like it has all these other times, but you can go back there as well, if you don't watch it during that specific time, and see all the back episodes there, including these back episodes too. We worked very well with Patriot TV and we're just moving the show over there. All right, lots to talk about, because tomorrow I'm gonna have a show talking about all of Trump's criminal court cases that he has. Do you know what it is? Do you know how many? Come on, if you watch, you know there's four current ones, so four current open criminal cases that Donald Trump is dealing with. I believe there's two civil cases, but if you think about it, we're like what, nine months, 10 months into the new election, and the other thing about it is how in the world is this all gonna play out? Well, I think this is the year that a lot of things and a lot of truths come out into the public and I think it's gonna be very interesting. By the way, I gave this date before Come on, who's gonna give dates? Well, the thing is, it's very interesting because when Donald Trump becomes the official nominee for the Republican Party, he will get national security briefings, which is interesting because those have been taken away. What the reason was that he got it taken away? Yeah, I gotta ask Biden and he says why do I need to give it to him? It's just interesting. If there's something there that I don't know, maybe exonerates him, possibly in some of this, who knows? But that's the date because, by law, the Republican and the Democrat and the Democrat, of course is Biden. He already has a security clearance. Donald Trump is supposed to have it, but later on, when he becomes a nominee by law, he will get it. So it's gonna be interesting what's going on in the next year coming up and we're right here, all right. That all being said, thank you for joining me. Once again, don't forget, tomorrow I'm gonna go and break down all the different criminal cases that Donald Trump has, so you'll be better prepared when people ask you all these things that we've been talking about. So thank you very much. I appreciate it. Next week, by the way, it's gonna be another full week. We have Clay Clark coming in here next week as well. So that all being said, thank you for joining me. Once again about George Rachene Ho, and we will see you tomorrow. What's up?
